The Islamic nation today is experiencing a state of intellectual stagnation, suffering weakness and regression in the ladder of civilization. This raises several questions about the condition that the al-Quran intended for this nation, which the Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him - worked to build on Quranic foundations. Therefore, there must be a search for a way out, but guided by al-Quran and Sunnah to uplift the nation. The importance of this study lies in dealing with one of the most dangerous and sensitive issues, as the significance of the renaissance issue lies in dealing with al-Quran through study, understanding and contemplation, to come up with solutions to the crises facing the nation, especially after experiencing catastrophes and setbacks and after the failure of several nationalist, leftist and other renaissance projects.

فإنّ الأمة الإسلامية اليوم تعيش حالة من الركود الفكري، وتعاني ضعفًا وتراجعًا في سلم الصعود الحضاري، مما يثير عدة تساؤلات عن الحال التي أرادها القرآن الكريم لهذه الأمة، والتي عمل رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - على بنائها على أسس قرآنية سليمة. فلا بد إذًا من البحث عن مخرج لها، ولكن على هدى من كتاب الله وسنة رسوله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - للنهوض بالأمة.  تأتي أهمية هذه الدراسة في تعاملها مع واحدة من أخطر القضايا وأكثرها حساسيةً، فأهمية قضية النهضة تأتي كونها تتعامل مع كتاب الله تعالى دراسة وفهمًا وتدبرًا؛ للخروج بحلول للأزمات التي تعانيها الأمة، وخاصة بعدما مرت به من نكبات ونكسات، وبعد فشل عدد من مشاريع النهضة القومية واليسارية وغير ذلك.
