Last Mystery by Ikechukwu Joseph
Synopsis
Talking of the mystery chosen wife, chosen by the gods and for the chosen one, I remember this beautiful damsel was long ago said to be chosen by the gods for the chosen one. Her parents tried to raise her accordingly from childhood. Ego as she was called was a beauty to behold. Her education, choice of friends, and even food was made for her. Ego grew with already made plans and patterns but was frustrated as she was not allowed a mind of her own. While I was in the United States I received the news how she died at a tender age of fifteen... No, not me. Others may, I cannot. I have seen the light and cannot grope any longer in darkness. The conflicts of the ages, the gods and the people must bow to the truth. We must let the light shine. This is a huge task. Not to demean our traditions but to remove all the scary evil skeletal appendages that weighs us down. The young shall grow and you too can travel.
As expected my parents kicked against my intentions of marrying what they called an outsider. The traditional people felt greatly disappointed with me for defiling our tradition and disobeying the gods as the chosen one... Another set that were disappointed by my decision were the church elders and sisters. Most of our church sisters had been prophesying among themselves out of ignorance though. "Shall we leave God and serve table," have been my answer to most of their questions. No matter what happens, the will of God will prevail. I urged them to pray for the will of God to prevail and for God to give us the grace to accept the outcome. They only heard my intentions but have not seen it. The problem I had with Stella Eastwood was that she wanted us to settle in the States because of her profession. "My father may be a missionary but I am not," she said. "I will still serve God through medical services."
That was where I caught her as I reminded her of her song on my send off or sent forth party way back in the States. We also needed missionary help too from the States so we wouldn't abandon visiting the States. At first she was skeptical about the people and so the people too were skeptical about her. But with time they realized they needed her medicine and treatment and she on the other hand needed their companion and language to succeed. That was exactly what happened. Dr. Stella Uba became not only a wife but a missionary to Africa. That was her second missionary experience. The first was in the company of her father Rev. Eastwood. It wasn't a nice experience but this time it was different. Emmanuel missionary hospital was established. Sometimes earlier she nearly ran away because of witchcraft attacks. She woke up one morning with lacerations all over her body. At first she was frightened but her experience at a tender age during her father's missionary trip to West Africa encouraged her. Also having read about satanic forces and how to overcome them she decided to put her faith to work. In spite of her family and professional duties she made out quality time for prayers. She had learnt that if Jesus is the answer then prayers is the key to unlock that answer. She read the book "Unlocking Closed Doors" which transformed her life. The people brought not only medical problems but spiritual ones too. Dr. Stella learned spiritual warfare in Africa. She became friend to all and provided succor to the widows. Her home was open to all. People began to see the match in her union with me. Our marriage was blessed with children. Last Sacrifice (angel series book 3) is a page turner that will blow your mind.
