THE STORY OF THE FOX AND THE STORK by Muhammad Firdaus Bin Shafee
Synopsis
This story tells of a sly fox named Liku who invites a stork to his home for a fish soup meal. However, Liku serves the soup on a shallow plate, making it impossible for the stork to eat with his long beak. The hungry stork does not retaliate that day but invites Liku to his home the next day. This time, the stork serves the soup in a tall, narrow jar — perfect for his beak but impossible for Liku to lick. Liku finally realises his mistake and promises never to play tricks on others again. Moral: Don’t play tricks on others, because what you do may come back to you.
