This book describes the parallel between a boxing match and the Spiritual fight of faith. In a boxing match, an opponent wants to get the other fighter "against the ropes" because that is the worst place for a boxer to be. It is often here where the match takes a turn and the opponent wins. But, there are maneuvers a boxer can make to buy time, save some energy, and create a plan of attack to keep going in the match. Life is the same way. We often find ourselves "against the ropes" which can look various ways. It is what we do in those moments that matters most. We can develop the grit we need to keep getting up, or we can throw in the towel. It's our choice, but there are three things we can have in our corner to help us get back up. Those are faith, family, and fight.
