This book is about how to synchronize the digital stuff in your life, from the standpoint of a person who has multiple digital devices and spends most of their working day moving from home to work and other locations. This is a book for the somewhat organized person who wants to become more organized and to sanely synchronize their digital stuff between their multiple worlds of work, home, and play. While this book addresses some of the basic how-to-do-things this is not a comprehensive technical book. This is a book more about how, and under what circumstances, you can use existing free technology, to synchronize your stuff seamlessly. The author is a former IT Manager and has authored numerous computer how-to books and trained end users in a variety of computer programs. The author is blunt by saying that if you are not somewhat organized to begin with, then you cannot expect technology to miraculously help you become more digitally organized. There are many cloud services now available and the author has tried all of them at one time or another. In the end, the author concluded that Microsoft SkyDrive offers the best mix of features, multi-device compatibility, and cost-benefit ratios of all services presently available.
